Congress in the Classroom® Online is based on Moodle, a software package that supports online courses and includes collaboration, activity–based learning, critical reflection, and much more. A student progresses through the course in five steps.

NOTE: We suggest that you print this page for reference.

  1. Login to Congress in the Classroom® Online using the (Login) upper right-hand link or click on the Congress in the Classroom Online course title. This will take you to the enrollment section of this web site (see Demo 1).

  2. If you have already created a new account on this web site, enter your username and password in the text fields provided under Returning to this web site? Click the Login button to enter the course (see Demo 2).

  3. If you have not created an account, read the steps provided under Is this your first time here? and click on New Account or click the Create new account button below step 7 (see Demo 3) to fill out the complete form with your details (see Demo 3B).  NOTE: You will not be prompted for an enrollment key. Once you complete the form with your details, you will receive an e–mail requesting you to confirm your new account (see Demo 3C).  Immediately after confirming your new account, you will receive confirmation of your registration (see Demo 3D). Click on Courses to pull up a listing of all courses available. Select Congress in the Classroom Online as your course (we plan to add other courses in the future) (see Demo 3E). You will have the option of enrolling as a member of Congress in the Classroom® Online. Select Yes or No (see Demo 3F). Selecting to enroll in the course will take you to an overview of the course (see Demo 3G).

  4. Congress in the Classroom® Online allows guest access. If you choose not to create a new account and only want to browse through this web site to learn more about the course, click the Login as a guest button for guest access (see Demo 4).

  5. If you have already created a new account on this web site, but forgot your username or password, click the Yes, help me login in button to fill out the form and receive an e–mail including details related to your account (see Demo 5).

To return to the course introductory page, click on Moodle found in the blue naviagtion bar at the top.
