Online Users
NOTE: We suggest that you print this page for reference.
The Online Users block found on the course introductory page shows a list of users who have been logged into the course (see Demo 1). This list is updated on a regular basis (the default is every five minutes). Note that even though a user may have been logged into the course within the last five minutes, it does not necessarily mean that this user is still online.
If you hold the cursor over a user's name, you will see how long ago that person was last "seen" in the course (see Demo 2)
If you click the envelope icon next to a user's name, you will be able to send a private message to that person using the messaging system (see Demo 3).
A new page will open with the name of the user you are sending the private message to in bold text at the top. You have three options to choose from: (1) add this user as a contact, (2) block the user, or (3) view your message history with this user. Type the private message in the text box and click the Send message button (see Demo 4).

To return to the course introductory page, click on Moodle found in the blue naviagtion bar at the top.
